key west is a great place to bring the kids fishing. the abundance and diversity of fish we have ensures a great time for all ages. for the youngest, species like mangrove snapper, jack crevalle, and blurunners are ideal. these fish can be found in great numbers and are always willing to eat. for slightly older children a host of species will account for alot of fun. tarpon, permit, sharks, and barracuda to name a few. spring and summer are the most enjoyable time to fish with children. the weather is more consistant. make sure to bring plenty of sun block if you plan on vacationing here in the summer.
